  I’m attempting to use some tracking software and I’m a newbie and the instructions are to:

  Copy the following code block into every web page you want to log traffic for, immediately before the </body> tag (or after all your included client scripts).

  Could anyone tell me how to do this seemingly simple task? Thank you.

  You cannot do it. All javascript is banned here for security reasons. Most tracker sites will also give you the HTML only version of the code, so try that.
