  I want to have a professional blog for invitees and accepted only and a public blog open to all. How do I go about?

  Hello there,

  You can add as many blogs you want by going to Dashboard>My Blogs and click the Register Another Blog button at the bottom right. That would lead you to the new blog set up process.

  You can set the privacy of your blog(s) from Dashboard>Settings>Reading.
  To make your blog visible only under specific invitation, under Site Visibility choose ‘I would like my site to be private, visible only to myself and users I choose’.
  Don’t forget to hit the Save Changes blue button at the bottom of the page to save your changes!

  Here’s a quick guide that explains how to invite people to view your private blog.

  Thanks. I want the site to be open to all but one of the blogs private. If I follow your advice will this hold true. Thanks again. G

  Are you talking about the same site with the blog set as private or the extra blog you’re going to create set as private?

  The first case is likely hard to do, but if it’s the second case you can separately set the privacy settings for each site/blog, so to keep one publicly visible and the other one private. Each site and blog has its own settings and are independent to each other.

  You can also set only one blog post as private by creating a private password you can give to specific users: https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-visibility/

  One site running two blogs with different visibility.

  Any site can have only one blog stream. I’d suggest you to create another blog and incorporate in your website (if needed) by linking it with a widget content or a link also on the menu.

  Otherwise you can set several blog entries as private as suggested above.

  Probably the first option is the best one also for the users :)
