Add Sela testimonials back in
-
Hi all,
This is my first attempt at using a WordPress theme so please bear that in mind! I installed the Sela theme and somehow accidentally deleted the ‘testimonials’ feature, so it no longer appears in the Admin Dashboard.
Is there a way to add this back in, or do I need to delete the theme and then install it again? If I DO need to delete and re-install, does that mean that my current design (all the content that I have put in so far) will stay the same, or will I need to start from scratch? Thanks in advance for any assistance!!!

https://toweltravel.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site.
What is the exact URL starting with http:// of the wordpress.COM hosted site you refer to please?

Hi there it’s this website: http://giveandcake.net/
The site belongs to my cousin and while neither of us have any real wordpress experience, I have a graphic design background so offered to help try and give it all a bit of an update.
Thanks very much for your help!

giveandcake.net is hosted by Interhost Pacific Pty Ltd t/a Intervolve, not by wordpress.com.
That site is not on our servers. You are posting to the wrong support forum.
We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
(1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
(2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.Also, note that we do not provide Jetpack support https://jetpack.com/support/ for sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page.
Some Jetpack solutions are here http://jetpack.com/support/
Others are in the Jetpack support forum at WordPress.org
http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpackHowever, if help cannot be found at either one then they can file a Jetpack support ticket here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/?jetpack=needs-service
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
As you are referring to a site that is not hosted here, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
Resetting your WordPress.ORG password http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page

That site is not running here on WordPress.com, but it sounds like you either deactivated the Jetpack plugin or the Jetpack Custom Content Types module within Jetpack. You need that specific Jetpack module to use testimonials on a self-hosted site.
Since your site is self-hosted, with the WordPress software running on your own hosting, feel free to post over at WordPress.org if you need further help with Sela:
https://wordpress.org/support/theme/sela
You’ll need a free WordPress.org account to post – if you don’t already have one, you can register here:
