Add sidebar to posts for Hatch theme
-
apparently I can only add sidebar to pages instead of posts.
my concern is the photos looks huge, so im thinking to add a sidebar so the post+photos appear smaller, thus more pleasant to the eyes.
I wonder isz because of the theme im using thus cannot do any modification?
im using the hatch theme.
thanks guys!

Hi there! It looks like Hatch is a very specialized theme designed for emphasizing photographs. You have some amazing photos, so that makes the them a logical choice.
But, because of the theme’s specific design, it appears that it does not support sidebars everywhere like you find in most themes. You are correct in your guess that it’s the theme specifically limiting your widget area options. This is from the theme’s description:
Hatch supports five widget areas — one on pages, one after single posts, and three columns in the footer. You can configure these areas by going to Appearance -> Widgets in your Dashboard.
So, it looks like if you’re set on having a sidebar, you might have to visit the gallery and browse for different themes that can both show off your images and give you a sidebar.

Hi stothek!!
Thanks for confirming. :)
I really love the theme and spending entire afternoon fixing the blog.
I tried to add a widget after single post as stated but It doesn’t seems to work too.
Any clues?
Thanks again! ;)

I was able to install that theme, and after hunting around for the widget area (it’s only in WP-Admin) set a widget in the below post spot. It appears to be working correctly.
I also see social sharing icons at the end of your posts. Were you able to get the widget to work?

Hi Stothek,
the widget that appear on the bottom of the post are under setting instead of widget setting.
but guess I could never put on a side bar on the post, I tink is okie, just live with it then.
thank you so much for spending time to resolve the issue for me!!
we need more pple like you! :)
