add signature?

  Is there a way to add a signature to your posts? I know I can manually add it as a pic, but is there a way for it to automatically be there when I open a new post? Then I just add my verbiage above it?

  No there isn’t a way to add a signature aside from adding an image. I used to do this but stopped, edited, and deleted all of mine. I don’t want forgers and identity thieves to have a copy of my signature.

  Hi guys, sorry to add on so late, but are you saying for sure that if I wanted to say, add your initials and a thumbnail picture to appear after all posts (as you might in email), WordPress can’t do this? Thanks in advance.

  @bedsty – not as an automatic thing like many email systems can – you can make some sort of graphic then manually insert the graphic at the end of your Post or Page.

  Thanks for the quick reply, auxclass, I really appreciate it! I saved my sig (created at that free sig site) and a small image in my WP gallery. At the end of the day, it’s really not that hard to take an extra 40 seconds to insert them into a post. :-) I’m on a week into WP, so it’s overwhelming, but I’m learning as I go! Thx again. BSC.

  Actually, while you can’t automatically have wordpress add a signature at the bottom of a post, one way round it might be to create one post with it in and then use the ‘copy post’ facility for all subsequent posts and just leave the signature part of it there in each.

  Just a thought….
