Add site to Referrer "whitelist?"

  • Unknown's avatar

I’m using wordpress on an I-pad and I-phone
and the new “spam” flag on referral spam does not do anything,
other than block me from seeing and linking back
to the referring web page when I get multiple referrals
from a favorite web site …

How can I turn this feature off …? It is pretty
useless, and is preventing me from accessing
    fun information …

Failing that, can I add my favorite websites to the whitelist?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is what I’m trying to talk about:

In “Referrers”, when you hover over an entry, a little “Spam?” link will appear. This works for all but a few whitelisted referrers (such as WordPress.com).
If you click on “Spam?”, the referrer link goes into your personal spam referrer block list and won’t show up in the future.

I can’t “pull down” the list of web pages from a referrer on my I-phone or I-pad with this new spam link …

Can I get my favorite referrers added to the whitelist, or turn this new spam thing off?

Have you read this sticky post at the top of the support forums? https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/spam-referrer-reporting?replies=3
I don’t see any mention of a white-list at all there. Do you?

    Hi @caryandjohn,

Currently, users cannot add referrers to a White List. Referrers will not appear on your stats page if you have labeled them as “Spam” in the past. Did you mark something as “Spam” in the past on accident therefore preventing it from appearing in your referrers? If so, please let me know the URL, and I’ll add it back to the white list for your site!
