Add social buttons a footer

  Hello everyone, this is my first time using WordPress, and I am building a portfolio using the Sketch theme.
  I’d like to add social media buttons to the footer, but the theme doesn´t allow me to do that directly, so I want to know if there is another way to do that, ¿can I do that with additional html or css?

  I just tried Sketch theme on one of my WordPress.com sites and it looks like it has the ability to add social media buttons to the footer.

  To be clear, it already has social media buttons on the footer and allows users to customize it. You can use the WordPress.com Customizer to do this. https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/

  Open WordPress.com Customizer on this blog and click on Menus section. You should see a section called Social Media there and you can edit your social media links there. All changes will reflect on the social media buttons on the website.

  Hi strikebuys, and thank you so much for your answer, I didn´t notice that the theme was able to support two menus, I can see it now, thanks!
  Now there is another problem that I am trying to fix and I don´t see the solution right now, and it´s about adding ‘categories’ to your projects, I mean, I see the categories box in the posts, but not in the portfolio´s projects…¿do you know how could I add categories related to each project?

  No problem! Happy to help.

  When you are composing a post, you will be able to see the categories section on the right. You will also be able to see a “Add new category” button that you can use to add new categories.

  Hi @adriana039, I’m not seeing any WordPress.com sites associated with your username. Can you give us a link to the site you are referring to?

  If your site is not hosted here at WordPress.com, then there is a dedicated Sketch theme support forum at WordPress.org where you can post questions on using that theme on self-hosted sites.

  The differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org.
