Add sth to get an email account

  I have looked through all the entries in the support pages regarding this, but the instructions from GoDaddy doesn’t seem to be coherent with the info on your pages. They are saying:”You will need to contact WordPress and request that they add a TXT record to your domain name that points to DZC.chinabriefings.co and it must resolve to the unique IS: dGbpP*654. Once you have done this, please respond to this email so we may further assist you with getting email set up in your account.”
  I don’t know where I should fit all this info in on the form MX, TXT, CNAME etc or am I on the wrong planet entirely?

  Hi there,

  I have added GoDaddy’s standard MX and CNAME records to your account, as covered here:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/add-godaddy-email/

  MX 0 smtp.secureserver.net.
  MX 10 mailstore1.secureserver.net.
  CNAME email email.secureserver.net.
  CNAME mail pop.secureserver.net.

  These are standard settings that work with most GoDaddy email hosting accounts. Please let me know if this resolves your issue and you are able to proceed.

  I have passed this information to GoDaddy, but still awaiting a confirmation from them. I’ll let you know how it goes. Thanks a lot for your help!!!!

  Oh gosh, should have known this wouldn’t be easy…Now Godaddy is saying: “A DNS lookup indicates the TXT entry has been created, but it is not resolving to the unique ID provided. The TXT records will need to be modified and point to DZC.chinabriefings.co and it must resolve to the unique IS: dGbpP*654”.

  How do I proceed with this? A million thanks for your help!!

  Hi there,

  In talking things over with a few other Happiness Engineers here, the need to add a txt record to the DNS is not typical. I have added the following record to your DNS settings for chinabriefings.co

  TXT dzc dGbpP*654

  It may take a few hours for that setting to be updated for your domain. Please let me know if that works out. :)

  Now they’re saying:
  “At this time, the dzc.chinabriefings.co TXT Record shows the results of dzc dGbpP*654. This would need to be changed so that the TXT Records results for dzc.chinabriefings.co is just dGbpP*654.”

  Do you think this could be arranged?

  Ah, well we’re at least getting closer! :)

  I have modified the record to just dGbpP*654 as they have directed.

  Fingers crossed that this is what they need. Let me know if we have a better outcome this time, thanks!
