Add Subtitle to Blog Title in Solipsus Theme?

  How can I add a subtitle to my blog title in the Solipsus theme?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Where would you like it to be? The layout of the theme doesn’t really leave room for a tagline near the blog title.

  I would like to put a subtitle in smaller font on the other side of the little drawings. In fact, with those little drawings, I would like to replace them with string instruments. Is that possible? Thanks and I just posted this question again before I found your reply, so I apologize for asking again before I found your reply.

  If you widen and narrow your browser window, you will see that the space outside the vertical bounds of the content area disappears. Putting a tagline out there will mean than anyone with their browser window set narrow will not see it.

  Just sayin’…

  So are you saying that if I do that and put a subtitle, then others might not be able to see it because of their narrow browser window?

  If the tagline is outside the vertical bounds of the content area, yes.

  Since solipsus does not have a custom header option, the only way to change out the header would be with the paid CSS upgrade and some heavy photoshop work since the scroll work at the top is tied into the top part of the content area as you can see here.

  

  If you had CSS editing experience, and some good photoshop experience and took on replacing the top section, just design it so that there is a place for the tagline and then use the trick of positioning a text widget with the tagline in it at the top (which is what Panos will provide).

  Thanks for that info. For the time being, I believe another theme would be better, so I will search another one out.

  I ended up putting the subtitle words into the Welcome static page. I would like to incorporate a couple of strings instruments into the scroll work area of this theme, so how would I do that? Would it be the same way as you mentioned above or could I incorporate drawings or clip art of stringed instruments into another area of the static page?
