Add tags to pages

How can one add tags to pages?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You cannot tag any Pages or add categories to them as they are not posts. Pages are only for static content that rarely changes.

Is that the end of the story, or is there some way around this?I found this site which describes a way of adding tags to posts, but cannot seem to view the code to be able to insert what he suggests.

There is no way around this.
WordPress.ORG software is not the exactly same software as ours here at WordPress.COM. That plugin cannot be installed into a wordpress.COM hosted blog.
Blogger installed plugin capability does not exist on WordPress.COM blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality. You are confusing WordPress.ORG and WordPress.COM. For that type of functionality you’d need a self-hosted site running on a paid web hosting service.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
