    Dear Sir / Madam,

I just want to install the PayPal “Buy Now” button on my site. The software for the package is now ready for installation.

Prior to installation they want me to look for Add New plug in screen on mt dashboard but I could not find it. I’m new to WordPress and this is the reason why I decided to ask for your regarding this matter.

Hope you can help me with this particular problem.

Thank you very much and God bless.

    Rodolfo,

You can access your WP Admin dashboard by adding /wp-admin to the end of your sites URL like so:

    https://mybooks768.wordpress.com/wp-admin

To add PayPal, have a look at this support document. Carefully work through the instructions, as it is very specific on what you are able to tinker with and what not.

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/

Let me know how that goes. If you get stuck along the way, I’ll do my best to help walk you through it.

    Dear Maria,

I saw you response as soon as I was able open my gmail account.

I have read the full text of your message and have understood all what you wanted to say.

I went to that particular link mentioned on your message and have followed the indicated on how to go about the installation of the PayPal “Buy now” button on the HTML section of one of my posted blog.

I was able to install it and have tested those buttons already incorporated. When I clicked the Update tab the icons for Buy now and credit card are nowhere to be found but the rest are all there. I could not see any Save and publish tab except the Update and a dialog box appears informing that what I did is still not saved. But I looked around within that page and could see nothing to really save it.

Hope you can help me on this particular problem.

I will include the Code I got from PayPal at the time I was creating that Buy now button on their site for you to see and check so you could make the appropriate response on this.

    Rodolfo,

It looks like you have chosen options that are not available, that is why the code isn’t working. Drop-down options will not work.

Pay close attention to Step 3 from this link: https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/get-paypal-button-code/

“DO NOT check the box next to any of the customization options, like drop-down menus or text fields. If you select any of those checkboxes, you’ll generate a button that you won’t be able to use on WordPress.com.”

You are only able to use the basic button options. Anything other than what is outlined on the support document above (link) isn’t able to be used on WordPress.com

    Best of luck!
