  I’d like to use the add this widget to my blog posts, but the fineprint on the addthis.com site says that their code is not to be used on wordpress.com (only wordpress.org).

  Why is this so, and can you offer an alternative to your list of available widgets for wordpress.com blogs?

  An ‘ad this’ widget allows readers to save the blog post (or other url) directly to facebook, bookmarks etc.

  There are many alternatives which have been mentioned in the forum, or you can use Add This in the sidebar according to the instructions in the FAQ.
