Add Title to Blog Posts Page
-
My site is http://museumofthemacabre.com. It is through wordpress.
I have posts at my home page. Is there a way to get a static title above the latest blog post that will stay there even as posts update? It is a Cutline theme
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Weird. I can’t see an Admin bar at all on that site.
You could make a new post, with just the title in it, and set it as Sticky.
-
Yes, you can do this via a sticky.
I made a post on it a while back to help someone else:

@rain-I think I smell Custom CSS, since Cutline doesn’t give you the option of hiding the blog’s title, and yet, it doesn’t appear on the Front Page but the title text shows up.

the sticky did not look correct. it still had date, time, tags, etc. rather than having to eliminate the date, tags, and all that…. is there a way to just have a permanent title on the blog post page?

CSS stands for “custom style sheet.” It does not allow adding markup to a page. There is a CSS pseudo class thing for adding text via CSS, but Internet Explorer does not recognize pseudo classes so that means 40% of the people on the web would not see the title you added.
There is also a trick that can be done to relocate a text widget from the sidebar to different places in the page, but it does not work in all themes, and I have no idea which themes it will work in.
