Add user to mailchimp and users

    I am trying to get a registration form that will allow two things. First, I want to give people access to my forums. I can do this easily. I want to have people sign up for my newsletter. I can do this easily.

    What I cannot seem to do for some reason is have both of these happen on one form. So basically I want someone that fills out the registration for to get access to my forums, in other words to be added the the ‘Users’ list in WP and have them added to Mailchimp for the newsletter and updates.

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

    Hi there,

    MailChimp and WordPress.com are two completely different services, belonging to different companies and running on separate servers. There is no way to have one signup form that will allow you to sign up for both at the same time.

    The MailChimp form you can add to your site runs on code provided by MailChimp which you just embed on your site here. It doesn’t create a connection between our system and theirs.
