add users to view wordpress blog: link invitation doesn't work

    dear WP,
    when i add users to view my wordpress blog (which was on the private – mode before – not anymore) , people who receive an invitation (and don’t have any WP account) and click on the link in the invitation, just get the general wordpress site. nothing happens (they still have no access to the site). what went wrong here?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
