add widget to page content

    Hi,

At http://www.gapsguide.com, I’m using the excellent ‘comments’ widget in my navigation, asking it to display the most recent three. I don’t make it longer because I want this feature highly visible (toward the top of the nav), yet not overshadowing the rest of the navigation. At the same time, I’d like to present somewhere (else) on the blog a presentation of the most recent, say, 50, comments so that readers can scroll through all of that week’s. I had the idea of creating a page for ‘comments’, and pasting the widget to its content field, but I can’t see how I might do that. Is there a way? Or another idea?

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We cannot place widgets on posts and pages. They can only be used in sidebars. If you copy and paste the comments displayed by the Recent Comments widget into a static page it will not update. You will have to do that manually.

Thanks, timethief. It’s helpful to know what can’t be done in this case. I’m now posting a variation on this question.
