Added directories in URL
-
Hello…hoping someone can help me troubleshoot this. It looks like my WordPress site is added extra directories to my links depending on where the referring page is. I checked the page and urls are correct on my menu but it’s happening on each page.
For example:
This is the correct link: https://www.genesisprocessinggroup.com/privacy-policy/
If the referring page is the following page: https://www.genesisprocessinggroup.com/credit-card-processing-merchant-services/interchange-plus-pricing-rates/
This is the incorrect page that it is calling: https://www.genesisprocessinggroup.com/credit-card-processing-merchant-services/interchange-plus-pricing-rates/privacy-policy
How can I get each referring page to call the native url and not added the extra directories. I have used 301 redirects but it’s a lot and I would rather solve the problem at the source to avoid any long loading times.
Please help!

Hello there!
It looks as though the website that you require assistance with is a self-hosted WordPress.org site rather than WordPress.com.
This forum is designed to help clients hosted by WordPress.com. For more information on the difference between the two please check out this link: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org.
If you are in need of support for your self-hosted website you may be able to find an answer on the WordPress.org support page at the link provided: https://wordpress.org/support/ or as an alternative you may want to contact your hosting provider.
Hopefully this helps!
Cheers
