Added image after using gallery

  Hi! I’m trying this gallery and have come up against a few probs that I’m hoping you can help me with, please. I used the gallery on my post ‘Friends – and Neighbours’ on http://dickiebo.wordpress.com. After having inserted the gallery onto the post, I wrote a few words and then wanted to add another (different) picture AFTER the words. However, it keeps coming out at the end of the photos from the gallery. Any ideas, please, as to how I can add a picture say, at the end of the post?
  Also. After completing the post, I realised that I wanted to add some more text to the ‘caption’ of one of the pictures. I tried all ways, but failed to see how the wording that has already been applied, can be changed.
  Sorry this is so long-winded.

  1. As you saw, all images that are uploaded in a post with a gallery become part of the gallery. To have both gallery and separate image in a post, you must upload the separate image in the post, upload the gallery in any other post, take the ID number of that post, remove the gallery shortcode from that post, and use this code in the post you actually want the gallery in:
  [gallery id="NumberOfOtherPost"]

  2. Go to the post editor, click Add an Image, click Gallery, click Show for the specific image you want to edit, change caption, save changes, save post.

  Hi dickiebo- To insert an image or images so that they’re not part of the Gallery, you just have to upload them from a different Post where there’s no Gallery in the Post.

  After you’ve uploaded the images and they are safely in your Media Library, close the Media Library and close the post where you uploaded the images.

  Now, go back and open the Post where you want to include the separate image, click on the “Add Image” button, then click on the Media Library tab (not the Gallery tab) in the Image Uploader window and insert the separate image into your post just like any other image.

  About the Caption, if you are referring to the Caption in one of the Gallery thumbnails, you open the Gallery tab in the Image Uploader window and then “show” the image you want to change, make your changes to the caption, save your changes and then CLOSE the Image Uploader window.
