Added new menu option and somehow half my menu is erased and the menu structure is destroyed.
-
We added two new sections to our menu but for some reason it destroyed half our menu and our entire menu structure. 3-4 of our subsections are just gone despite not deleting them. Also now our menu is completely destroyed. There appears to be no major change but it is not showing up correctly on our website. In customization and menus everything looks the same as it used to.

Got this partially fixed by checking the primary option under customization. I still don’t understand why so many pages were deleted by adding something. Now apparently I don’t have a wordpress account even though I’m signed into a wordpress account. I’m trying to be patient but this site gets stranger by the day. I never unchecked primary and also never deleted anything. If there is a way to just edit my homepage in HTML or CSS that would be great. Also why am I signed into an account yet at the same time my account doesn’t exist. Is there anyway to make sense of this?

Hi there!
I’m afraid that your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Bluehost.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so we can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:
https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/You can look for help at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.
