I just added a new user — as Editor.
How does he login to my blog in order to help manage my account?

    He has a WordPress account.

    Thanks Jack AKA ExPreacherMan

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Regardless of where your Editor logs in from, such as the front page of WordPress.com, your blog’s log in page, even here in the forums, once they log in they will see a link to your blog under “My Blog” in the gray admin bar at the top of each page.

    Jennifer,

    Quick question:

Will my Editor receive comment emails just as I do? or is there a setting I must make for him to receive them with me.

    Really appreciate your help, Jack

The Administrator receives the comment notifications. Please see here for a description of User roles > http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

    Thanks TimeThief,

I had read that link and presumed Editor would receive comments also.

Sure would be nice if we could have dual comment notifications..
There are times when the Admin is unavailable — so how could the Editor, who can moderate comments, know a comment needs attention?

    Just asking, Thanks Jack

The answer to your question is found here by doing a simple forum search > https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/comment-emails-not-going-to-administrators?replies=4#post-336509 Only the original Administrator get email notices. If you wish to make the Editor an Administrator you do have that choice.

but it won’t change this “The “admin” email that is entered under settings > general is where the notifications are sent and that can only contain one email.” If you wish to approach Staff and ask them to consider changing this then you can use this link after is is reactivated tomorrow. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

    Thanks TimeThief,

Will contact Staff tomorrow… can’t imagine my circumstance being unique.

You have been a great source of info — and help for an old, almost blind, retired preacher.

You’re welcome Jack. I’m sorry my answer above got split into two. My dog was on my knee and he clicked — it’s all his fault. lol :D

That’s OK, I’ve heard of “dog ate my homework” but that is the first time I’ve seen “dog is my censor.”

I do appreciate your help and suggestions.

    In Jesus Christ eternally, Jack

I don’t think he had censorship on his mind. He clicked the ENTER key … lol :D
    Namaste, Jack.
