added user but they cannot post
-
I am a professor using WordPress for a student blog. One student has been having trouble posting. I added him as an author and could see that he had joined the blog (and he could post a comment), but he did not have the option to make his own posts – there was no option when he moused over the top left where the link to go to the dashboard or click “new” in order to post was. When he moused over he couldn’t even see the option for the dashboard.
I have since deleted him and added him again and I’m waiting for him to join again. What could have caused that problem, where he was a member and could comment but couldn’t post?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Only users with certain user roles can post on blogs. Other users on a blog can view the posts but can’t create new posts themselves. We have more information about those user roles here: User Roles
As long as the student is an author on the blog, he should be able to create new posts. If for some reason that student still can’t post on the blog, please send me a link to the blog and that student’s username and I can look into it for you.
