Addin a Drop Down Menu

  I have chosen the theme Connections. It has a top nav bar. I’d like to add a drop down menu to one of the items in my top nav bar. I want to add a drop down menu to “Portfolio”in my top nav bar. I need 12 drop down’s in this menu. I want the background of the drop down to be black, the words white and the hover over to be a5160f. I know how to change CSS but not write it.

  Thank you ellaella. I’ve been reading from the “learn about css sticky”. I did find coding to add a horizontal menu. I already have this in the theme I choose. I guess what I’m looking for is adding sub menu’s to one of the tabs in my menu. I’m probably not using the proper terminology for this.
