Adding a background??

  When I started my original blog, I was able to add pictures as a background.

  Now that option is no longer available.

  Is adding a background now a part of the premium plan?
  If not, how can I add a background to my new blog?

  I took down the page but I think the theme may have been the issue.
  I will have to use the “Publication” theme next time.

  Sorry….looks like the problem hasn’t been solved after all…

  Here’s my blog:

  The theme is Publication. When I click on “Colors and Backgrounds”, I don’t see an option to upload a pic.

  Publication doesn’t support a custom background, so that’s why you’re not seeing an option to change the background colour or upload a background image. That’s because Publication is a theme whose elements already cover the entire area of the browser window, so even if it provided the option to upload a background image, you wouldn’t see it because of the way the theme’s elements are designed to extend to all corners of the window.

  If you let me know in what spot on the page you’re hoping to have a background image displayed, I would be glad to help you with custom CSS. Is it the white content background you’d like to change to an image of some kind?

  Thanks for such a quick response! I appreciate it.
  I like Publication but if nobody can see the background, there is no point in uploading a picture.
  I would rather not pay for Premium at this time.
  Which free theme will let me upload a custom background that is visible to the reader?

  Kathryn, I was wondering if you would be able to help me see my country stats again, as well as what page my viewers are coming from.

  Those stats showed automatically in my other blog and I have asked the same question in another thread. I could not find the buttons to click on.

  Please help?
