adding a badge

I cannot find a way to add a new badge to my website. I joined NetGalley and have seen another WordPress website with the badge on it, but for whatever reason every time that I try to add it all that shows is the link.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Can you paste the code provided by NetGalley here? Be sure to put it between code tags using the forum’s formatting buttons so it’s not stripped out. If the code includes JavaScript, that would be stripped out if you tried to add it in your WordPress editor or widget.. You’d need to get a plain image and link, and then use either an image or text widget, as suggested by timethief above.

I tried quite a few times and using the different boxes for links that WordPress offers under customizing a page/site and under the widget area. Nothing came up.
So what I was finally able to do is go back to NetGalley and I just happened to right click on the image and was asked if I wanted to copy or save the image.
I saved the image and was able to upload it to my media library on my site and then add it to the bottom of my website. In all honesty, I don’t know if that is the fourth widget area or what. I think that I may need to take a refresher course on customizing and creating a website on here.
I really appreciate your help and timethief’s help.

That’s up to you. :) I’ve never heard of NetGalley before today – do you have some sort of public profile page there? If you just want an image that shows you belong to NetGalley, without any link on it, then you can edit the image widget to remove the current broken link. Click “Edit Image” in the widget, remove the link in the Custom Link field, and then save your changes.
