  Does anybody know how to add a banner to my wordpress site? I am NOT very tech-savvy. Please help.

  What do you mean by “banner”? If you mean a banner ad, they’re not allowed. If you mean a simple image, I have a banner copyright image on top of all my posts, you just add it as you would a normal image. Or do you mean the header image?
