adding a blog
-
Hi everyone,
Sorry for my ignorance, but can I add a blog to my free WordPress site? I did some research on the Internet but found no reading mode in my WP version. I know I need to add a page and then transform it into a blog but I can´t find the reading mode in my settings, so I can´t do the blog conversion for the new page.
Many thanks for your help,
A.J. -

Hello again, the blog/posts page is usually the default front page of your site unless you change it to a static page, and that includes a theme’s special front page template.
If you have set up your site using pages and you now want to add a blog/posts page, take a look at the instructions in our support guide to creating a static front page with optional blog page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/#optional-create-a-blog-page
The short version is that you will need to publish an additional static page, give it the title you want, like “Blog,” “News” or something like that and then in the Customizer, set that page as your Posts page and publish your changes. All your blog posts will then appear on that page.
Here’s more on working with the theme you are using, Affinity.
Let us know if you have any other question about this or need more help.
