Adding a blog page with an existing site

    Hi Hello,
    I own a website. Now i want to add a blog page to my existing site. I dont want to transfer my site here or to make any changes regarding that. All i want is to add a blog page. Thats it. Please help me.

    Hi Robert –

    Sure thing :) Can you send a link to the site so we can take a look. Typically it’s just a simple setting change to designate where these posts will be published and then you just need to make sure that page is linked in the site menu.

    My site is a2j.in . I have done the site using Mobirise in html format. Tried to convert to PHP format. but couldn’t do that. All i now wish is to add a blog page to the site. It can go like a2j.in/blog or something like that. I have this link (a2j.in/blog.html) active with which i am not satisfied. I want to add more pages and articles quick and effectively.

    Hi Robert,

    We are only able to help with sites hosted on our servers.

    Your site is not hosted with us, nor is it even using the open source WordPress software.

    Please contact support for whatever content management system you’re using. Or if this is a custom built static site, I suggest a developer forum like https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/ to find out if there’s a way to integrate the WordPress software into your existing site somehow.

    Just throwing this out there for consideration, and likely displaying my ignorance at the same time. :)

    Although it would not be possible to use the structure of mydomain.com/blog, wouldn’t it be possible to create a blog page/site here on WordPressdotcom and then map it to a subdomain of the user’s domain, such as blog.mydomain.com?

    It would be possible to create a completely new site, and map that to a subdomain on the OP’s domain, yes. But as I understand the OP’s question they don’t want a second site. They want to integrate a blog directly into the existing site.

    Thanks for your advise. I am looking to create a sub domain with my site where i can post my blogs in a quick and easy way to create and to edit.

    I can install WP in my control panel and link the same with my WP panel. But the things were not working as expected. Thats why I am here asking you to share some quick tips.

    Will try to create a sub domain and give a try.
