Adding a blog to my wordpress.com website
-
So I’m going round in circles, I’m trying to see if I can add a blog PAGE in to my website so far:-
*I’ve managed to set a static front page- which is default page
*have several pages all using ‘front page template’
* Started to write blog – though its private as its not ready, on a ‘page’
I tried to make the blog on a front page template also, it looks ok but there is no way of getting the comment box on their, unless I change it to default or full width page, and then it shows the side bar (which i only want on my static page)So in summary,
I want my blog to appear on a page (front page template with a comment box)
PS I’ve tried to tick the discussion box in the page editor and as soon as its saved it un ticks itself!Tell me what I’m doing wrong please, uncle Google is exhausted!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

A blog is a post based website designed for interactive communication. As the posts are frequently updated and appear on the front page of the site it’s very attractive to search engines.
What most people call a website is merely a page based site that functions as a one way noticeboard. As the structure is page based and as pages are for static content that rarely changes, and as pages do not have RSS feeds it is not as attractive to search engines as a post based blog structured site is.
Any WordPress blog can be restructured from being post based to being page based – no upgrade required. For greater clarity read > http://en.support.wordpress.com/using-wordpress-to-create-a-website/
Every theme here has a detailed theme description page with set up instructions provided on it like this one https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/edin/ and a live demo site like this one http://edindemo.wordpress.com/

You can reveal it by clicking on Screen Options http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ on the top right corner of your Admin page, and checking the box that says Discussion so the module is included. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules
