Adding a blurb for categories – Apostrophe theme

    ok, so I am very much the newbie with blogging. I’ve been playing around with the “Apostrophe” theme & am quite happy with it so far. What I would like to do is this: an item in the main menu has a drop down section that navigates to a variety of categories which is where my relevant posts will appear. What I would like to do for each category is to include a quote or other text that will appear above the post thumbnails. If I simply add a text widget, I cannot have individual quotes for each category. Is there a way of doing what I am trying to achieve? Please remember I am not very techno savvy so any instruction needs to be for a total dummie! lol Thanks for any advice.
