Adding a category error message

  I am trying to add a new category to my blog as I usually do, but it keeps giving me an error messag “you do not have permission to do this”. Whats the problem?

  Are you the admin of the blog? What’s the name of the catagory? It’s come up a couple of times in the past. It’s either been because the name trying to be used has contained illegal HTML characters or something to do with something on the backend. I would send in a feedback and let staff know. Please give specifics when you do.

  Yes I am the admin of the blog. The category I was trying to enter was named just simply named Travel so I’m not sure what the problem is. I will send a note to support.

  Thanks for the follow up. I can’t think of anything right off. I know some folks have a better time entering it at Dashboard -> Write -> Post -> That category tab along the right hand side while others can it it at Dashboard -> Manage -> Categories but not at the first place. You may want to try both and see if one works for you.
