Adding a custom header via CSS

Yes, but that’s certainly the long way around. You just find the image in the CSS code and replace it with an already uploaded, correctly sized image of your choosing.
-
And you can also add a custom header to a theme that doesn’t have a header on it using CSS.
-
If I pick a specific theme do you think someone here would help me figure out how to add a custom header to it?
-
If the theme already supports a custom header – and many of them do – then there is nothing to figure out. Here are the themes http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/07/08/which-themes-can-i-add-a-header-image-to/
If you don’t already know CSS, be aware that there is no official support for it and only a couple of people in the forums are well versed in it.
-
And you have the instructions on how to add a custom header image since you commented on it in the other thread on this topic.

Well, I screwed up and I don’t know how to fix it.
I edited the CSS in PressRow….at some point it went bad so I copied and pasted the CSS Stylesheet back into the box for Pressrow. Everything is ok except it won’t show the custom header now.
Any idea how to fix it? Sorry to ask so many questions.

Once you have already used your Custom CSS upgrade, you HAVE to do it the way I said. You cannot use the regular uploader. You must find the header image in your CSS, upload one the right size, and insert that URL in the proper place.
-
To fix your CSS, delete everything in the CSS edit window and select the “Add this to theme” radio button at the bottom and save it. That takes you back to the original CSS.
As rain has said, once you get custom CSS, you have to have the full url of the header image in the CSS file.
I guess I don’t understand – Press Row supports a custom header so you didn’t need CSS for that.
