Adding a DIV section to Sidebar?

Hello, I’m currently using/adapting the theme Thematic.

There’s currently two sidebar sections: primary and secondary.

The search bar is at the top of the primary. However, for my design I really need the search bar section to be tight, or attached, to the base of the header.

My ugly site thus far for reference: http://axiom-media.com/work/fdb/

I feel that to properly connect CSS to the search bar in separate, I need to create a DIV section specifically for the search bar.

    Is this possible in WordPress?
