  Hi –

  If the domain is brand new then you’ll need to set up domain mapping in order to connect it to your WordPress.com site. Here are the step-by-step instructions to do that:

  You’ll need to add a plan to your account. Those are here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/ The mapping is included in the pricing that you see.
