Adding a domain I already own

  I have a free website with WordPress at the moment (http://letsmaketheworldabetterplace493225174.wordpress.com).
  I have now purchased a domain from Bluehost- socialdemocrats.net. I would like to purchase a personal plan and transfer my new domain to WordPress. Do I just follow the procedure from my current WordPress site? (I no longer need my current website.)

  Hi there!

  A domain is just an address, if you map it to your current WordPress.com site, you will not see the subdomain letsmaketheworldabetterplace493225174.wordpress.com anymore, instead, that site will display under socialdemocrats.net. If that is what you are looking for, go ahead and purchase your plan from My Site>Plan>Plans.

  If you want to create a brand new site, click on My Site>Add a new site and purchase your plan from there.
