The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks. I was actually referring to adding a drop-down box to a page. And the items in one drop-down to be a text type, in another – to be a number type. is it possible?

hi,
Sorry for misunderstanding you earlier.
You can look up the html code to build a drop down list here:
https://www.w3schools.com/html/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_elem_selectIn the editor, there are two tabs, Visual and Text. Use the Text tab to enter html.

Thank you. I followed your example, in fact copied and pasted it into the text area. when I clicked “Visual” it worked as drop-down. But as soon as I click “Update” or “Preview”, the HTML tags “select” and “option” are stripped and the drop-down turns into a list in plain text, Please advise.

Are you referring to this private site at http://sampleml1wp.wordpress.com/?
We, Volunteers, do not request access to private sites. Staff can access them so we respect privacy settings and type modlook into the sidebar tags on the thread for a Staff follow-up. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question

I’m following up on the modlook tag.
ml1wpccsf – could you confirm for me which site you’ve inquired about using the dropdown boxes on?
-
Thank you. I don’t think there is a need to access my site as of yet since the question looks pretty generic to me. I can rephrase my question: “how do I prevent the clicking on “Update” or “Preview” buttons from stripping HTML tags”?
The site is sampleml1wp.wordpress.com. -
Actually let me correct my question: “why clicking on “Update” or “Preview” buttons strips HTML tags <select> and <option> leaving only the text”?
