Adding a extra Widget area

  i am thinking about changing my theme to Traveler, but wanted to know if it is possible to add an extra widget area to the theme. It only comes with one footer widget and i would like one below the header. Is this possible?

  Widget areas and their placement is determined by the design of the theme. Provided you are prepared to purchase a custom design upgrade so you can edit CSS maybe this is possible. Without it what you want to do will not be possible.
