Adding a footer to a theme with no footer

  How do i get a footer to display in a theme with no footer? Also, how do I format this footer so the color matches?

  Hi there,

  The option to add a customizable footer is specific to the theme you are using. The Vigilance theme, for example, does not support a footer, so you will need to switch to a theme that offers a footer if you want to have one on your blog.

  You can search for new themes by going to Appearance > Themes in your dashboard or by going to the WordPress.com theme directory. A couple themes with footers that I particularly like are Chunk and Twenty Thirteen.
