Adding a Google Analytics Plug-in

  I want to add a google analytics plug-in but I do not have a plug-ins section on my dashboard. Furthermore, when I got to upload googleanalytics directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory I keep getting an error.

  We don’t allow plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons. Plugins are a feature only available for self-hosted blogs provided through WordPress.org.

  However, we do have our own built-in stats via the Site Stats section of your Dashboard.

  Were there any particular features that you were missing?
