Adding a hyperlink to a category description

  I’m hoping to add a hyperlink in the category description of my “podcast” page. I’m assuming that this would involve some CSS work, but please let me know if I should post this question in another part of the forum.

  (I’ve done some google searching but everything that comes up regarding category pages seems to deal with .php files and plug-ins for wordpress.org, not any solutions for wordpress.com)

  Hi there. CSS can’t help you here. You would need to add the html code for a link in the description, but I believe WordPress strips any code out before saving it to the database. You could try adding

  Text to be linked.

  inside the description and see if that works.

  Oh, thanks! Such a simple solution — I had figured that wordpress was stripping away any html because I tried to put in some
  to force extra space between my category description and category posts, and it didn’t work. So this was much easier than I was expecting!

  @andrewcpht the formatting seems to work better when you put your code between backticks.
