Adding a Like button when Theme doesn’t offer one

How can I add a like button to a theme that doesn’t support one? I asked them and they said to try adding a third party plug-in but I have no clue how to do that. Any help would be appreciated. I am currently using the Ashe theme.

  • Hi there,

Since you have Jetpack installed, you can enable likes by following the directions here:

    Jetpack

I don’t have access to your wp-admin, so I do not know if your particular theme supports the enabling of likes, but if you have not tried this, please follow those steps and let me know if it works.

    Thanks,

I did that, but it doesn’t show up on my site.

  • Hi there,

I tested the Like feature with your theme and it works without issues. I see that you have that already enabled in the Jetpack settings, just make sure you have it enabled in every post and page you like it to appear. Here’s where it’s located if you’re using the new block editor:

and in case you’re using the classic editor:

If the Like feature is still not working, it might be affected by any of the other plugins you have installed.

Do you have any idea what plugins could be causing it not to work? Because I have that button checked on all my posts.

  • You have to temporarily disable all your plugins except for Jetpack and then enable them one by one to find the one that might be causing the conflict.
