Adding a link

Hello,
I tried to link to one of my own posts. I put in the URL link and title of the post, and then clicked Add Link. Everything looked fine, but when I came back and click on the highlighted text, the link does not work. Can anyone point me to the right direction? Where did I do wrong? Is there a step that I missed? Many thanks for your help!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I did that. I followed every step, and it still doesn’t work. The instruction there is pretty straightforward. URL, title, and add link, right? Anything I missed?

When you say “the link does not work” can you explain what happens? What does it look like? Give us a link to the post that contains the link.

In the sentence “click this link to learn more”, I highlighted “this link”. After the URL and title boxes are filled, I clicked on “add link”, then I clicked “this link”, which had changed color and is underlined, nothing happened. The link does not bring me to the text.

Every post title is a permalink. Give us the title link to the post that contains “click this link to learn more”. -
Do you mean the title of my post? It’s Salt Mania. That’s an older post I would want to put it in my new post “Repatriation”.
Sorry if i get it wrong, i am very new to wordpress, and this is my very first time adding a link!

Did you try to click on it while you were still in the editor? That won’t do anything. Either preview the post and click the new link or right-click the link in your editor and choose to open it in a new tab. Or simply post it & test then! :-) (And we’re all new to something sometime, and learning new stuff is fun! So don’t worry about asking questions!)

Wow, it works now. You said it, I did click on it in the editor only. After your reply, I went out of the editor and to the actual post, it worked! I have been working on this the whole morning and now I did it, with your help! I am so grateful! Thanks so much! Sorry too many exclamation marks!
It is fun to learn new stuff.
