adding a link or pingback to another Blog
-
My attempts at adding a pingback via a hidden link, appear flawed and show up as a fully exposed blue typed row or rows of address. Before we changed to blocks, all the type was concealed. and I would just link tidily to one or two words eg:
press here. how can I do that now, with blocks? -
Hi there,
Of what site are you speaking, and where exactly, on which post/page, are you trying to add a link?
Adding links in the block editor works exactly the same as in the classic editor – type the text you want to be visible on your site in a paragraph block, highlight the text, and paste the link. Alternatively you can highlight the text and click the link icon in the paragraph block toolbar.

I have a wordpress free blog and often link to another blog and the link stays on show I can not seem to hide it. Like on this post. https://ellenbest24.wordpress.com/2020/05/02/my-tits-looked-at-my-bottom/
P.S. I am a writer and this is a humerous post not a vulgar one. -
Thank you, I thought that was what I had done But I obviously missed a step. I will try again.
