Adding a link to a text widget

    When I try to add a link to a widget I put the URL in visual in editor but it comes up with [embed] on either side of the URL. What does this mean please? My blog is http://mariabrinkley.com

    Hi there,

    If I understand correctly, you’re trying to enter a link into a text widget on your blog. Is that correct? If so, there are two main ways of accomplishing this.

    First, you can add the link to the text in a blog post draft. Then, you’ll want to copy the content from the Text Editor and paste it in the Text Widget.

    Alternatively, you can add a link by using HTML code like this:

    <a href="URL">This is a link</a>

    Can you give both of those options a try and let me know if you run into any trouble?
