Adding a link to my blog

  following your instructions is like playing baseball with Abbot and Costello.

  I am trying to add a link to my blog, so that followers can purchase my novel from Barnes & Noble. I created the link, but I couldn’t even save it let along post it on my blog. Can anyone help me?

  Hi there. Where do you want to add the link? In a post/page, or in your blog’s sidebar?

  To add a link in a post or page, type the anchor text, e.g. “You can buy my novel from B&N.” Highlight that text. Click the link icon in the post editor toolbar. Paste the link in the URL field and a description in the Alt Text field. Save the link. Update or Publish the post. https://en.support.wordpress.com/links/

  To add the link in a widget, you have to code it in html. Copy the following code into a text widget under Appearance ->Widgets and replace the link and anchor text with the right information:

  <a href="link here, between quotes, starting with http://">Anchor text</a>
