Adding a link — what’s wrong?
-
I followed the FAQ instrux to add a link and it’s not working for me. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong?
This is what I entered into my write page, and what appears on the blog, as well:
I’ve got a deck of tarot cards on my desk.I’d like it to say “I’ve got a deck of tarot cards on my desk” and for the phrase tarot cards to link to a different site.
-
Well look at that.
When I cut and paste the magic code that I put on my blog, it did what it supposed to, although the link didn’t work.
What I am seeing in my blog is a long bit of mumbo jumbo that I thought I copied correctly from the FAQ’s, although it would be nice if that FAQ would actually allow you to copy and paste from there… -
okay so this is the deal. you didn’t tell us where your blog is – no url link provided by you. so we don’t have a clue what you are on about. if you can’t use these instructions
http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/07/01/how-to-write-links/ then, you post the code you are referring to between backticks of the forum. backtick key is to the left of the number 1 right above the ~ and if you don’t put the code between the ‘ backticks it will screw up. -
found your blog and the code
I’ve got a deck of tarot cards on my desk.
nothing is wrong with the code you are putting it into the editor using the visual tab instead of the code tab – click the code tab – look at the illustration here – look for icon “17”
