Adding a link when replying to someone’s blog

  I have worked out how to set up a link(eg to my website) when writing a blog, but could anyone tell me how to set up a link when replying to someone else’s blog. I can’t seem to do this, as when I’m on the Internet Explorer page reading someone’s post and then replying to it there is no “hyperlink” icon.Sorry, I’m not very technically minded, so a nice easy explanation would be much appreciated!

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  If you are replying to a wordpress.COM blog when you are logged into your account here, you can have your username automatically linked to your blog address. Simply go to users > your profile in your dashboard and then put the link to your blog into the “website” field and then click “update profile” at the bottom of the page.

  For blogs that are NOT hosted here at wordpress.COM, you will have to put the link in manually in the “website” field when leaving your comment.

  thanks “thesacredpath”, I have added my website address to “my profile”. Is this all that is needed, or do I have to do something with the link icon on the lefthand bar?

  That’s all that’s needed. You can test it for yourself right in the forum.
