Adding a map with route to blog

    I’m doing a blog for our sailing trip to New Zealand and want to plot route on map. Can wordpress pick up lat/long coordinates on google map? And if so how do I do this?!

    Hello @footgb,

    I think what you’re trying to do would require that you add the route on Google Maps (or alternative route mapping tool) and then embedding the map onto your website.

    Try going to Google Maps and clicking the ‘Create a New Map’ button. This should bring up a new page where you can plot your route on the map. Once you’re done, click the vertical dots and choose ‘Embed on my site’ (see screenshot). You may need to make the map public in order to do this. You’ll get some code you can use to embed the map on your WordPress site.
