Adding a Multiple member check in to a page
-
Hi, I run the web site for our little sailing club, the way we currently find out who is sailing is an email to all members, stating of you are sailing please reply to all via email, this was ok when we were 12 members, but the club has now grwn to 30 members, thats a lot of emails. so what I am looking for is a way for each individual member to visit a page and put a tick against their name if they are sailing, this needs to be visible to all, so if 10 people have ticked their name, any member can see who is sailing. any thoughts ?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there,
Many thanks for reaching out.
At a basic level, this could potentially be achieved via a Google doc/spreadsheet in someway, and it would be possible to embed the content into a page on the site: https://wordpress.com/support/google-docs/. Each member would need access to this doc.
For something a bit more advanced and something baked into the site, where you’re adding events and need an automated RSVP, you may wish to consider using a plugin like those seen here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/attendee%20list%20/
Based on event, and as the club grows, you may need to be mindful of what is publicly visible – and so restricting this content to just members, may be something to consider as well…
I hope that’s some useful ideas there.
To note, in order to run plugins on a site, would require a business plan:
It may be worth considering as the club grows and keeping things scalable.
