adding a new blog

  I would like to add another blog. I clicked on the appropriate button, but was unable to enter anything in the blog domain area.

  Any suggestions?

  Quick mention before I answer. I looked at your blog and noted that you have a number of links looking like this:

  http://www.jewelrymaking.about.com/

  See the ‘www’ and ‘jewelrymaking’ bits in there? They can’t coexist. 30% of the net and most search engine spiders can’t follow such a link. The link should look like this:

  http://jewelrymaking.about.com/

  But to answer your question, I’m afraid we need to know a little more information. Where specifically are you trying to add the new blog? You should be doing this at the main site at http://wordpress.com Also what OS browser and browser version are you using? I just tried with IE7 on WinXP and didn’t have an issue.

  first off, I am only semi-literate (or less) in computer technology/terminology…

  I am using WinXP, but not sure of which version of Internet Explorer.

  from the http://wordpress.com page, I entered “register another blog”

  at the “Get another wordpress.com blog in seconds” screen, I am unable to enter anything in the blog domain area.

  Not a problem. That’s what we’re here for. That was one of the reasons why I was pointing out your links. :)

  For the version number, Click on Help along the top of your browser window and then About Internet Explorer.

  Have you tried clicking in the blog domain box with your mouse?

  and I have been clicking on the domain box with my mouse
  (wow, that’s sounds pretty weird…)

  If you would like to create a blog
  but when you first signed up you just created a username and not a blog address (yourname.wordpress.com)
  then
  log in,
  click the button that reads ‘Press This’ (in the upper-right)
  that will allow you to create a blog with (yourname.wordpress.com)

  I ran into this an am posting this here.
