Adding a new (sub) domain and linking to main domain blog
-
I would like to make a page on my current blog a separate blog. Assuming a new domain is required, how do a link the old page on my main blog to a new one.
Linking myblog.wordpress.com/page1 to page1.wordpress.com and vice versa.

I don’t clearly understand what you want. Maybe you could provide a link of your very page which you want to change into a new blog.
And I believe the only way to do what you want is to simply create a new WordPress.com blog and copy paste the contents of the current page onto that. Then you can simply provide links to that blog in the sidebar of your current blog. Is that what you want?

That not exactly what I want to do. A better way to describe it is that I was hoping to link the existing page tab “http://thestateofamerica.wordpress.com/artistic-thoughts” (or page widget) to a new blog. I also was hoping to make the page a subdomain of “thestateof america” by something like “thestateofamerica-artisticthoughts.wordpress.com.” A better way would probably be to use only “artistic thoughts” and identify my main blog in the new blog’s header.

How about placing a link to the new blog in a text widget in your sidebar of your existing blog ?

Thanks for your help “thistimethisspace” & “ishmeet”. I created the new page and will add a link in the side bar seems the best solution.
